The SmartTan.com survey showed a total of 62 percent of salons had representatives that attended at least one industry event in the past\u00a0year to educate staff or to help in making a purchasing decision. Seventeen\u00a0percent of those attended two events and 9 percent experienced three or more events in the past 12 months. These results are not scientific\u00a0but are highly directional.    This year's major indoor tanning event is the ASA World Summit Conference &amp; Open Board Meeting, October 7-8 in downtown Nashville. The Friday and Saturday event will primarily focus on the most critical issues facing our industry. Market leaders will attend meetings to discuss the state of the tanning industry including government regulations, legal actions, industry research and PR, and more.
