A strategy mentioned in the article by Lisa Carr, owner of Impressions Hairstyling Salon and Tanning, was to change the names of some of the services she offered to be more appealing to men. For example, when dealing with men she doesn\u2019t \u201ccolor\u201d hair, she \u201cblends\u201d it. According to her the word color doesn\u2019t resonate well with male clients. With indoor tanning gaining prestige and acceptance with men on popular television shows like Jersey Shore, it's becoming easier for men to be comfortable with getting into a tanning bed.
