According to the poll, 64 percent say the warm late-winter\/early-spring weather helped boost tanning sales this year. About one-third \u2014 36 percent \u2014 said the weather has not helped. The poll is not scientific.  According to the U.S. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, March 2012 was the warmest March on record. And the first three months of 2012 were the warmest January-to-March period on record for the lower 48 U.S. States.
