Most window glass blocks UVB, but not all UVA rays.<\/p>\n<p>The NBC story mis-reported that, \u201cRecent studies have underscored concerns that extended exposure to the sun while driving can be nearly as bad for the skin as spending too much time on the beach.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>That\u2019s Sun Scare.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThat sentence attempts to look like it\u2019s saying something, but it really says nothing,\u201d Smart Tan Executive Director Joseph Levy said. \u201cWhat does \u2018nearly as bad\u2019 mean? And, to our knowledge, there is no research to support a mechanism whereby driving in a car is \u2018nearly as dangerous\u2019 as a sunburn.
