Social sharing website Pinterest earlier this week added features geared towards businesses, as described in the Mashable.com article \u201cPinterest Introduces Business Accounts and Tools.\u201d<\/p>\n
The ability to create business accounts on Pinterest will, for the first time, allow you to display just your business name rather than a first and last name.\u00a0 A business page will also give you the ability to verify your account using a hidden line of code on your website.<\/p>\n
Companies that already have a Pinterest page will have the opportunity to convert it to a business account. As you create your business account, you will be promted to add \u201cPin It\u201d and \u201cFollow\u201d buttons, as well as new widgets that showcase your pins, to your website.<\/p>\n
Along with the new tools, Pinterest also unveiled new terms of service to specifically allowing for commercial use of the site.<\/p>\n
According to Pinterest Product Manager Cat Lee, \u201cthis announcement is just about taking that first step\u201d in introducing a business model.<\/p>\n
If you haven\u2019t jumped on the Pinterest bandwagon already, it may be time!<\/p>\n
