Being a member of the JCTA has played an important role in the continued success of my business. After 23 years as a salon owner, I realize the importance of having the JCTA advocating for our industry as a whole. Speaking with one voice is the only way our industry can hope to be taken seriously by government and, given the nature of our business, being taken seriously is vital.<\/p>\n

Investing a small fraction of your sales into an organization that is working to ensure the continued existence and success of your industry is really a no-brainer. Waiting for a crisis to become a member is short sighted. The time to be a member of the JCTA is now, and together we can grow the indoor tanning industry and continue the valuable work to ensure we are averting crisis and negativity whenever possible.<\/p>\n

The work the JCTA does on our behalf with government is just part of the value I get from my membership. I take advantage of discounted insurance rates and appreciate the positive message being put forth by the Tan Nation Facebook page. Recently I went to the JCTA and raised my concern that the previous name for the Facebook page was not the right name for a page that represents the professional indoor tanning salon industry. I was pleasantly surprised when the JCTA board took the time to discuss my concern at meetings and eventually came up with the Tan Nation title for the page.
