The Joint Canadian Tanning Association (JCTA) has been part of the Canadian Sunshine Industry for more than a decade \u2013 and I don\u2019t want to think what our industry would have looked like had the JCTA not been implemented. The JCTA is considered one of the best sunbed associations in the world. The professionalism that was required for our industry to thrive was pioneered by the JCTA and its founding members.<\/p>\n
Today, the industry we all love is still under scrutiny, however professional salons continue to succeed. The old days of multiple sessions per day and cleaning your own bed are a distant memory, or least it should be. In 2018, there is no room for salons who do not operate professionally and responsibly. It is, of course, the goal of the JCTA to have as many salons commit to this way of operating as possible. A strong industry requires all participants to do what is right! Let\u2019s show lawmakers that the Canadian Sunshine Industry knows what it\u2019s doing! And certainly, no further regulations would be of any benefit!<\/p>\n
As we find ourselves a few days into the summer of 2018 \u2013 the typical slower season will be upon us soon. I encourage the folks reading this article to seriously considering making the JCTA a part of your 2018\/2019 business plan. By placing the JCTA member sticker on your front door, you are telling your customers that you and your staff are Sunshine Professionals and they should feel great about their decision to get some SUN.
