So, what should your resolution be? Inc contributor Rhett Power lists several options: 1. Develop and\/or evaluate my marketing strategy. Has anything changed in the past year that warrants revisions? Probably. 2. Get rid of dead wood. You can't afford to spend money on underperforming employees for another year. 3. Meet people face-to-face. Step away from the social media and work on improving your real life relationships with customers, vendors and members of your community. 4. Learn one new skill. Read a book, attend an industry event, take an online class...anything that can help you pick up something that will make you a better business owner or operator. 5. Understand your finances. Does an account handle most of your business finances? Do you even understand them? Take the time to personally dig through the numbers yourself, and maybe even take a class or do some research to get a better grasp. You'll probably pick up on some areas where you need to improve or further exploit. 6. Take time for yourself. Don't get so caught up in your business that you lose track of the rest of your life. Make sure you're dedicating enough time to friends, family, and personal activities, and your business will benefit too, as you'll be able to recharge and refocus.
