\u201cWe added the room up front specifically for the SST. Just putting it up front has created way more traffic in it which is what I always wanted,\u201d says Fantastic Tan\u2019s Maria Gerello.<\/p>\n
\u201cMy thought process was always to have it up in the front. I wanted to make sure it was a nice, clean room. I want it to feel classy. I made the marble walls and made everything clean and high-end so they knew they were getting a good, high-end service. As soon as I got it moved up in the front, it got a whole other crowd trying it.\u201d<\/p>\n
While it wasn\u2019t part of her original plan, Maria has also noticed another ancillary benefit of moving the SST28 to the front of the salon. Having an eye on the room from the front desk helps them efficiently transition clients who follow up a SmartSun Therapy session with tanning to their next session.<\/p>\n
“Another good thing about is when they\u2019re up in the front, they come out with their robe on, and we can see that they\u2019re ready to go to the next bed. It\u2019s a lot easier to manage it that way. A lot of people are doing SmartSun Therapy and then tanning. People come in just for it for pain management, but a lot of tanners who have been with me go into both,\u201d Maria says.<\/p>\n
As well as her regular tanning customers embracing the benefits of red and near-infrared light therapy, Maria has found that many people who visit for the first time to use SmartSun Therapy are primarily seeking pain management, and she has experienced its effects in that regard personally as well.<\/p>\n
\u201cI have a lot of people with fibromyalgia who are getting results with pain,\u201d she says. \u201cYou definitely get results quickly from it. There\u2019s a relaxing part to it. I tell people, when you go in, you\u2019re going to feel like you had a full body massage. For pain management, after the fourth session, I felt my back inflammation go down.\u201d<\/p>\n
