According to the poll, 64 percent say the warm late-winter\/early-spring weather helped boost tanning sales this year. About one-third \u2014 36 percent \u2014 said the weather has not helped. The poll is not scientific.<\/p>\n

According to the U.S. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, March 2012 was the warmest March on record. And the first three months of 2012 were the warmest January-to-March period on record for the lower 48 U.S. States.<\/p>\n

Most of Canada also experienced a record-warm March, with only southwestern British Columbia experiencing near-average spring temperatures.<\/p>\n
