In a recent SmartTan.com poll, more than two-thirds of indoor tanning businesses said that the majority of their sunless tanning clients do not also utilize UV tanning services regularly.

43 percent said less than a quarter of their sunless tanners are regular UV tanners, while just 32 percent said that more than half of their sunless tanners also frequent UV services.

Previous research also suggests that the majority of sunless tanners do not often use UV services. A study by Norvell even found that a large percentage of sunless tanners had never even been in their salon previous to seeking a sunless tan. This shows that sunless services are a great way to introduce new customers to your business and that there is plenty of opportunity to cross-sell UV services to your current sunless customers.
