With its new Facebook for Business resource, the social media giant hopes to help small businesses identify and utilize the Facebook advertising options that work best for them. The many promotional options Facebook now offers can be confusing, especially to small business owners who may not have any marketing employees to help. The Inc.com article “Facebook For Business: What You Need to Know” explains how the new resource can help.
According to Facebook Marketing Manager Christina McBride, Facebook for Business is “simplifying and streamlining the way we communicate with advertisers and the industry.” It’s a central hub for updates, success stories and product information.
The Success Stories page is a collection of case studies with filters for business size, industry, product and region, so pretty much any small business can find success stories that are directly applicable to them.
The site’s Products page explains everything about using Facebook, from the simplest things like setting up a page, to the most intricate like uploading a custom list of targeted customers. But if you don’t even know where to start, you can select goals like “Drive In-store Sales” or “Build Awareness” from the Get Started tab for a step-by-step guide to reaching your objectives.
And if you’re really lost, the “Get Help” link will connect those who are actively advertising on Facebook to a representative that will walk you through the steps of getting started.
