Alexx Rodriguez started working at South Beach Tanning as a part-time employee while pursuing her undergraduate degree at the University of Central Florida. She fell in love with the industry and decided to work her way up the ladder. Now she’s working as a coordinator for South Beach Tanning’s growing franchise base.

Q: What’s new behind the scenes at South Beach Tanning?

A: We have been extremely busy converting salons to our brand in the last year. For me personally, the growth has allowed me to change the focus of my training from corporate locations to franchises. I love what I do, and meeting our new franchisees is like meeting new members of our family.

We have about 10 stores in various stages of construction that should open before the year is over, and we expect more of the same growth in 215. In the past, we’ve seen these conversions enjoy a 5-100% increase in sales, which has motivated others to come aboard.
