Actress Kate Hudson caused quite a stir late last week with a post on Instagram about her affinity for tanning the good old fashioned way. Hudson shared an image that said “The Real Tan is Trending” to her more than 12 million Instagram followers, which prompted a number of high-profile celebs to chime in. Gwyneth Paltrow, Demi Moore, Paris Hilton and more all commented in agreement that they’ve definitely been getting their tan on, too.

While it’s too bad that Hudson and some of the others felt they needed to be somewhat apologetic about their love for the sun, it’s great to hear that they’ve been soaking up some UV and vitamin D, especially with all the recent good news coming out about sun exposure!
