Every morning, it’s a race to Sun Tanner Parrish to be the first one in the SmartSun Therapy SST28.

“We have two clients who race here every morning to see who can get to the red light first. One lady just loves it for the relaxation and how it works on fine lines and wrinkles. The other client is really into wellness. She believes in it and loves it so she uses it every day,” says spa manager Kristine Cook.

Sun Tanner is one of the industry’s newest businesses, having just opened in March. When the business plan was first conceived, its management team never imagined their mornings would begin with serving red-light enthusiasts. At first, the plan was straightforward: open a tanning salon. But after attending their first industry convention in Nashville, everything changed.
