After years of juggling corporate careers and family life, Brad and Ana Sudekum needed a change. Despite not having a background in tanning, they knew their skillsets, cohesion and vision would allow them to be successful and provide something fresh and new to their central Georgia market.
After researching business opportunities, they realized indoor tanning was the place for them, and TANgerines Tanning & Oxygen Bar was born. As was their vision from the start, the business has proven to be a breath of fresh air not only for the owners, but their employees and clients as well, with an inviting atmosphere and cheerful vibe.
“We already knew that we worked well together, and if we opened a business, it would be successful. Eliminating all the things we didn’t want to do and experiences we had in the past, and talking about things we did like, we kind of narrowed it down, and tanning jumped out at us,” Brad says.
“It wasn’t something we thought about for years; just an ‘Aha!’ moment. We thought joining the industry and opening a salon would be fun, and people go to tanning salon to enjoy the experience and de-stress, and we were certain we could provide the atmosphere that allows them to do that.”
