With a year and a half of experience under her belt, Leigh Ann Ragan is already feeling at home in the indoor tanning industry. Although her previous experience in the hair industry gave her some insight regarding beauty, her active relationships with everyone from distributors to salon owners has given her a wellspring of understanding and confidence about the unique joys and struggles of indoor tanning. Her expertise comes just in time, as anew wave of trends and changes hits the scene at Supre Tan.
Q: How is Supre Tan evolving to meet the needs of salons?
A: Supre Tan just recently announced that it is acquiring Performance Brands Inc. The energy in our office is outstanding. We are so excited to work with some fantastic people and the products are going to sit well in our game plan. We’re in the beginning stages, going through a game plan for 2015 It’s already an exciting time of year for lotion manufacturers as we et ready to come out with new products to launch in Nashville, and this just amplifies all of that normal excitement. The Performance Brands team and products are going to flow so well with Supre Tan that it will no doubt make us stronger in the market as a whole. Supre Tan is all about having something for everyone, and their unique lineup will help with that.
We always want to help tanning salons extend their summer season, not only through the acquisition of Performance Brands Inc., but also with support that business owners can count on. I’ve heard a lot more positive feedback this summer because of the training tools and marketing ideas we share with customers. We are constantly talking to salon owners about their marketing and helping thme take advantage of all the opportunities out there. Sometimes it’s hard to change, but it’s a new day and age!
