Body & Sol Tanning — an 8-salon chain of Smart Tan member facilities located in Virginia — is spreading holiday cheer this December with a “Tan for a Can” promotion to collect food for needy families in Body & Sol’s communities.

The promotion — spread on the salon’s facebook page — asks patrons to bring in three cans for a free upgrade; four cans for a free level-1 tan and six cans for a free Level-2 tan, with options all the way up to 15 cans for a free Level-5 tan or $10 off a Mystic Tan session.

“We’ve already filled up 8 big boxes and are working towards getting our goal of 12,” Body & Sol owner Kristin Barfknecht said.

The salon is promoting the event with Devoted Creations, and the event is running through Dec. 14.
