TV personality and surgeon Dr. Mehmet Oz recommended fortifying the body with vitamin D to protect against coronavirus, in a Monday morning segment on the TODAY Show.
“Instead of sitting back waiting for bad things to happen, lets’s take proactive steps. So, today what should you do?….Vitamin D3, which you get from the sun, and when it’s a little warmer that will be easy for all of us. But for most of us in the northern part of the country, taking some vitamin D3, about 1200IU is wise,” Oz said.
He also recommends eating fruits and vegetables to enhance immune response, and getting the flu shot so if you feel sick, you already know it’s not just the flu.
