A great way to gain trust is by letting clients know about any shortcomings you may have about certain products rather than acting like everything on the shelf is perfect.

The special policy at Sundays Blue Box regarding lotion sales also helps increase sales, says Ligon. It is a simple practice: Whenever a client spends X amount on lotion, they match this amount with free tanning. Whether the client spends $20 or $100 on lotion, the policy is the same. “That’s why we’re really not worried about Internet piracy or Walmart brands; we feel like with our program people are buying our lotions.”
