The inaugural SUNbiz tanning event showcased the latest and greatest in indoor tanning for the nearly 100,000 attendees of FIBO, the leading international trade show for fitness, wellness, and health, this April in Cologne, Germany.

SUNbiz is an exciting, new indoor tanning event brought to under the umbrella of the European Sunlight Association a.s.b.l. d(ESA). Attendees discovered the latest offerings from the world’s leading companies in tanning equipment, lotions and accessories. The show also featured a variety of presentations, bringing attendees up to date on a variety of topics and issues relating to tanning and UV. SUNbiz exhibitors included American lotion brands Australian Gold, Devoted Creations, and Supre Tan along with many European brand sunbed manufacturers including UWE and KBL.

Thanks to 97,600 visitors and 700 exhibitors, FIBO is the worldwide Leading Trade Fair for Fitness, Wellness and Health. Every year in April, global top-decision makers of the industry come together in Cologne looking for the latest innovations and trends for their gyms, wellness facilities, doctors and physiotherapy practices, hotels etc.

According to SUNbiz, the synergy between sunbed provision in a health and fitness environment is clear to see, explaining the show’s tie to FIBO. Vitamin D deficiency is prevalent amongst members and users of health and fitness facilities. UVB light from a sunbed helps to generate Vitamin D. Having sufficient Vitamin D levels results in a significant reduction in muscle pain, sports injuries and stress fractures. It also improves muscle tone and strength, balance, reaction time and physical endurance.
