Sun Evolutions was born last fall when the parent company of Supre Tan acquired Pro Tan, Fiesta Sun, Bask, Vineyard Collection Grapes, Playboy and Beauty with Light, instantly becoming a one-stop shop for the tanning skin care needs of salons of all sizes. To founder Bruce West the expansion herals a bright future for the company, as it not only broadens their product portfolio, but also allows Sun Evolutions to leverage and utilize salon programs, training and education at a higher level for all of its brands.

Q: As someone overseeing an entire organization, what aspects of your job do you enjoy most?

A: My role is to steer the direction of this organization and ensure that my team executes in line with our strategic goals and objectives. I meet with my directors, talking with them typically on a daily basis about marketing, sales, education, and distribution.

I really enjoy the marketing side of the business. I enjoy creating products that touch people emotionally, that appeal to their needs and desires, compel people, and that they physically enjoy. It’s very rewarding to me when they use a product and say it’s the best performing product they have ever experienced. The creative side and branding…love discovering and being knowledgeable of the trends that are going on in our market today, and I enjoy trying to figure out what the trends of tomorrow will be and participating in the explorations and the ultimate decisions that we make to meet those trends with our products with fragrance, feel and color.
