MTV star, tanning guru and author, Jenni “JWOWW” Farley crowned San Diego resident Brooke Mollring as Southern California’s Miss iTAN 2013 at iTAN Sun Spray Spa’s sixth annual Miss iTAN event held in late April.

iTAN Sun Spray Spa, voted San Diego’s number one tanning salon by the community, five years in a row, is one of Southern California’s fastest growing, franchised tanning and spa salons. Miss iTAN is an annual lifestyle competition sponsored by iTAN to find a fresh, new face to represent the brand while promoting a balanced and confident lifestyle throughout Southern California.

In addition to putting forth their best tan in bold and bright-colored bikinis, contestants from across San Diego and Riverside counties also showcased their knowledge of how to lead a healthy and active lifestyle, as they responded to questions from host Jamie Hanawalt and the Miss iTAN 2013 judges.

The judging panel comprised of five talented and tan-savvy individuals:

Miss iTAN 2013, Brooke Mollring, 21, is a junior in college, attending San Diego State University. A Long Beach native, she was raised between Maui, Hawaii and El Dorado Hills, California. She currently lives the self-described “Southern California lifestyle,” near the SDSU campus. Miss iTAN 2013 isn’t the first title Mollring has earned. While growing up in Maui, she won the title of Little Miss Hawaiian Tropics 1995.

“In the future, I want to share my way of living a healthy, positive lifestyle with others,” said Mollring.

The Miss iTAN 2013 competition was comprised of several talented and well-spoken ladies.

“We selected Brooke Molling as Miss iTAN 2013 because she best embodied the values of Miss iTAN,” said Jenni “JWOWW” Farley, ‘’We were impressed by her confidence, her ability to work the stage, and her knowledge of tanning. She is secure in her skin, intelligent and beautiful inside and out.”

The Miss iTAN 2013 event, dubbed by Examiner as a “wall-to-wall celebrity” party, boasted hundreds of local and out-of-town guests.

“iTAN is doing so much for the tanning industry,” said Farley. “And they are just getting started!”

In July, all eyes will turn to the men of Southern California, as male residents across San Diego and Riverside Counties will compete for the title of iMAN 2013 at iTAN Sun Spray Spa¹s fourth annual iMAN 2013 event.
