Social media marketing is definitely social — it’s all about the interaction you have with fans and followers. If you want to be ahead of the competition and become a household name, social media can take you there. When approaching your social media plan, here are some important things to remember:
- Make it easy on yourself. A recent Facebook poll found that 80 percent of people want to interact with the brands they like on Facebook. This means you need a Facebook business page. This is also important because Facebook fans are two times more likely to buy from you. Connect your Facebook page to your Twitter, Instagram and Pinterest accounts, so you can update your fans, followers and pinners all at the same time.
- Make your profile pop. Your profle is what tells your customers who you are and why they should connect with you. The photos you choose to represent your salon in your profile and your cover shots need to stand out on a busy news feed. There are thosands of graphic designers on Fiverr.com who will make you a custom photo for just $5.
