Q: How does your lobby video affect your salons image with clients?
A: The TV in the lobby loops advertising specials for the salon. We change it up every month to include new lotions, information on tanning, the tanning process and promotion. I has been really good for clients to read why they should use lotion.
When clients are busy, they watch it and feel more comfortable asking questions. You get more feedback by feeding them good, positive information. Sometimes when you talk it’s like white noise to them, so they can take the information in visually this way.
Q: What does your salon do to make clients feel special?
A: I want all of my clients to feel taken care of, and as a mother of two I know that can be hard. I had tanning salons refuse me because I had to take my baby with me. I know what that feels like.
I want to welcome moms when they have kids. I don’t want them to feel like they can’t do anything and have to look awful. If moms want to come in, we will look after their kids for a couple minutes. I don’t want women to feel like they can’t do something.
