In this Smart Tan exclusive interview, owner Robert Ashe discusses why he feels they’ve been voted the “Best of the Best” tanning salon for the past seven years straight:

As a salon we take pride in the fact that we have been voted “Best of the Best” for seven years running. Our salon was designed with an eclectic and edgy style, from our metal walls to our black ceilings and red furniture. Though our style is very distinct, we conduct ourselves in a spa-like manner. We offer more than just UV tanning. We have Mystic HD, custom airbrush spray tanning, teeth whitening, red light therapy beds, FormoStar Far Infrared body wrap and most recently added the My-Lipo LED fat loss and body sculpting machine.

There are many contributing factors that have kept us going strong. First, we have the best equipment in the area. All of our beds are of the highest quality, ranging from level one to level four. Lower levels have adjustable facial lamps and a fan, while level three and four have air conditioning, aroma therapy and water misters. In each level we have both a bed and standup booth available.

We have an effective cycle of routine maintenance that sets us apart from other salons. The staff is taught to leave each room immaculate in between every session. Aside from the great equipment, we also have a wonderful staff. As a whole, our staff is energetic and outgoing. Each member of our team represents a passion for our industry, both inside and outside of work. Our ongoing education program for our staff involves bringing in manufacturers to demonstrate and discuss new products, as well as in-house trainings that keep us ahead of the learning curve. They enjoy conversing with clients and getting to know them on a personal level to add to the experience of being part of team Sun Seekers.

Our goal is to set every client up with a membership that fits their budget and lifestyle. We try to cater to frequent fliers with our EFT programs and unlimited monthly packages, and for those that are interested in single sessions we offer our eight visit packages that don’t expire for 12 months.

While we don’t necessarily have the lowest prices around, we have the best value. We provide flexible payment opportunities for our clients that are on tighter budgets. This allows us to show our clients we want what benefits them in the long run, not just what will benefit our wallets today. We have a multitude of options when it comes to packages and lotions. In regards to our lotion selection, we have everything from tan extenders, tingles, lotions designed for men and affordable lotions for those on a budget.

I think it’s our mission to bring quality tanning to those in our area and people recognize this. We are proud to be named the “Best of the Best” and will continue to do everything we can to maintain that title.
