More than three-quarters of people in the indoor tanning business feel better about the future of the tanning market this spring than they did a year ago, according to a SmartTan.com poll conducted in early June.

According to the poll, 78 percent said they feel more positive about the future of the tanning market this June than in June 2010.

“Our polls about customer counts, sales and business results all point to the same direction: It appears that at least half of the market is finding its way past the adversity of the past three years and finding ways to succeed,” Smart Tan Vice President Joseph Levy said. “There is adversity out there, for sure, but the market is overcoming it.”
