Ashley Lynn’s Tanning is participating in the National Wear Red Day which takes place the 4th of February. The event is held annually to raise awareness about the deadly epidemic of heart disease. While heart disease is typically associated with men, the event is focused on educating the public about the dangers the disease poses to women.

According to the National Wear Red Day Web site, 1 in 3 women die each year from the disease making it the number one killer of women. Money donated to the cause goes to support public and professional education as well as research.

Ashley Lynn’s Tanning will be offering buy one get one free packages with a donation of five dollars to the organization. They will also be giving away free tans to customers who come in wearing red in honor of the event.

“It’s important to spread the message that vitamin D is vital to maintaining heart health,” says Heather Almond, Director of Operations at Ashley Lynn’s Tanning.

Ashley Lynn’s Tanning is based out of Nebraska with locations also in Florida, Iowa and Missouri.
