Half of all tanning businesses say they put some kind of candy treat in tanning rooms for their clients, according to the results of a SmartTan.com poll conducted in August.
According to the poll, 50 percent of salons put hard candy or some kind of treat in tanning rooms — the same number that do not do so.
“The success models for professional sunbed salons today all include selling the experience of indoor tanning — not just the result,” Smart Tan Chairman Matt Russell said. “That includes paying attention to all the sights, sounds and senses in the salon.”
