Last month we talked about the best business show on TV right now,” The Profit” with Marcus Lemonis on CNBC. Each episode is packed with no-nonsense business ideas that you can immediately implement in your business to make it more profitable and successful.
Marcus always finds an opportunity to improve profits by fixing a combination of the products, people or process. My December article featured the product/service element of a tanning business, so this month we’ll deal with the people and process.
Typically the process and the people will be linked together. A great process is of no use if your people don’t follow it. Likewise, having freat people but not having the proper processes in place is a recipe for disaster.
One of the best processes you can have is a standardization of how you want your staff to interact with your clients. Having detailed sales procedures and scripting is one of the easiest ways to create an immediate bump in sales.
