Swedish Beauty Gives Back! Beaches N’ Dreams Tanning Salon from Woodstock, Ontario was chosen in January to receive the help of Swedish Beauty as part of its annual Swedish Beauty Gives Back promotion. This yearly campaign encourages and honors salons that contribute to their local communities by working with charitable organizations. Beaches N’ Dreams was chosen out of over 50 applicants for their admirable efforts.

Swedish Beauty co-sponsored the 6^th Annual Rise Against Cancer benefit supporting women’s cancer as well as developmental services in the city of Woodstock. We proudly donated 1,000 lotion samples as door prizes, a gift bag for the silent auction and t-shirts as giveaways for the event. The fundraiser was held on Saturday, May 3^rd and featured live bands, a silent auction table, door prizes and complimentary pizza.

With the help of Swedish Beauty, Beaches N’ Dreams and many other local donations, the event was a great success, raising nearly $32,000 and drawing a nearly sold-out crowd of over 800 people. Sarah Gray, owner/operator of Beaches N’ Dreams, was overjoyed with the success of the event and is looking forward to her next collaboration with a local charity. “We as a community really support each other, as a lot of us grew up together,” she says. “Scott Brett and Lee Brett are amazing to work with and did an incredible job planning and organizing this event. Their dedication is admirable.”
