The awe-inspiring illusions from world-famous magician Justin Flom weren’t the only magic in the Music City, as the tanning community came together for the biggest weekend of the year at Smart Tan Nashville. Along with his thrilling performance, Flom spoke of how he’d persevered through adversity using the S.H.I.N.E. concept. Soul, heart, individual personality, natural abilities and experiences — those are the things that make you, you, and they’re where you will find the strengths that will make you successful in business and life.

After Flom’s performance, it was the tanning industry’s time to shine, with incredible innovations, bright ideas, special moments, friends new and old, game-changing prizes and incredible fun that can only be described as “Nashville Nights.” When we come together as an industry, we make great things happen, and we leave invigorated to keep the magic going in tanning business around the world when we get home.

That starts on the Nashville trade show floor, filled with the latest and greatest from all major equipment, lotion and sunless brands that will help you succeed in the coming year. Bags, boxes and suitcases were filled with product samples and the newest innovations in equipment technology dazzled industry veterans and newcomers alike. Thank you to all the vendors that helped make the show another huge success — especially to our event sponsors, Devoted Creations, New Sunshine, Sun Evolutions, Tan Inc, FIT Bodywrap and Cosmedico.

Those sponsors provided a thrilling close to the event, as the products and equipment they provided were given away at the Wheel of Smart Tan. Attendees walked away with thousands of dollars in lotions, lamps and equipment, and three lucky people also left with more memories to make, on vacations to Hawaii, the Bahamas and Las Vegas.

Expanding the Smart Tan Nashville educational conference from three session tracks to four gave attendees the chance to take home more ideas to improve their businesses in 2017. Boosting membership, lotion and spray tan sales, gaining business exposure, especially to your millennial audience, and being prepared for what is to come for our industry were some of the key areas where attendees can expect to excel in the coming year.
