Indianapolis, IN, February 24th to 26th, 2022 – Tanning Supplies Unlimited kicked the sun spa industry into high gear with their TSU Expo 2022 at the Bullseye Event Center in downtown Indianapolis on Friday and Saturday, February 25th – 26th. Salon owners from around the U.S. attended, and you could feel the excitement in the air throughout the Expo.

Things got kicked off on Thursday as New Sunshine offered private Manufacturing Tours for salon owners to have a rare opportunity to see how all their great products are made. The lucky participants walked away in amazement from all they saw and learned, each receiving a nice little gift bag.

The heart of the Expo took place from 8 am to 8 pm on Friday. Attendees got to see tons of equipment up close and personal with 10 units from KBL on display highlighted by the much-anticipated U.S. revealing of all new and uniquely beautiful K Series. Featured were two gorgeous K7 models, further proof of KBL’s world-leading dominance design, engineering and technology in the sun spa market, showcasing the features you want in the footprint you desire. Also on display was the KBL flagship model that is taking America by storm, the KBL P9S featuring SunSphere UVA LED face and shoulder tanners. The P9S was fully operational with the hybridSun lamp package letting everyone see the unit in its full glory! And glorious it is.

Also on display were four sun systems from ULTRASUN, displaying the many options for that ‘Recharge Yourself’ experience. Spa equipment options also drew crowds all day with a fully operating Cocoon Deluxe Wellness Pro, POLY Pro LED Red Light Therapy and Mecotec cryo one: all electric cryotherapy systems. Attendees were able to experience all the operational units in person. Also, multiple salon owners took advantage of the opportunity to try sun systems from KBL, ULTRASUN and Sportarredo out at their choice of local area salons.

While activity was steady and constant in the equipment exhibit area, New Sunshine representatives spent the day educating and training salon owners on all the wonderful new lotions, skin care and sunless products and, as always, New Sunshine was very generous with product samples and hand-outs for all. Rounding out the day were updates on the ASA from Melinda Norton speaking on what the ASA accomplished in 2021 protecting the rights of Salon Owners. Matt Russell from Smart Tan spent some time covering “what not to say” in a tanning salon.

On Friday, a delicious up-scale plated buffet lunch was presented featuring a Charcuterie section, extensive salad, and veggie options along with carving stations and an irresistible offering of fantastic desserts. To wrap up the full day of business, attendees were treated to a cocktail party with an open bar from 4 pm to 7 pm. New Sunshine gift bags and TSU gift certificates were given away to wrap up Friday. Saturday morning featured an extensive three-hour hands-on sunless training and certification class by New Sunshine. Attendees were able to get tips from the pros, see them in action with live sunless spray sessions and finish the day having their Sunless Certificates in hand.

The TSU Expo 2022 was a fantastic success, and we want to thank everyone that attended – and even all of those that tried to attend but were held back with travel related weather issues.
